What an amazing year!
Before the whirlwind of the last two days begins, I want to take time to give you all a huge thank you for the support you have provided this year. So many of you have found the time to come in and support our learning in the classroom and/or follow our learning online, thank you! All of you have supported your child each day as they journeyed through their kindergarten year, supporting home reading, learning to decipher kindergarten spelling, and attending school events! This positive home support is so important in helping maintain your child's positive connection to school. Thank you so much for giving your kids such an amazing start!
It has been a joy to get to know all of you and your students this year. Their budding personalities are are so fun to watch. The whole class has come so far as learners together. They have laughed together, read to each other, challenged each other's thinking, asked deep questions, listened to each other, shared their ideas through writing, and grown themselves as global citizens. What an accomplishment for 5 and 6 year olds :) Thank you again for your part in helping them accomplish this.
I hope you have an adventurous and relaxing summer! I have big plans to work in my yard, read a book, drink lemonade, take a road trip along the coast, and go on many backpacking adventures. I can't wait :)
Best,
Rene
Ps. Ms M is spending the last few school days in the hospital with appendicitis. She is missing all of you and wishes she got a chance to say goodbye to the kids! Please keep her in your thoughts.
